Rose Liu
Ms. Liu is the Co-Founder and President of the AREPA Boston Chapter. Rose is a seasoned commercial real estate professional with over a decade of experience, with a primary focus on capital markets, financial analytics, and structured finance. Her expertise spans debt and equity placement, investment sales, underwriting, and complex financial modeling across a wide range of asset classes, including office, medical office, industrial, multifamily, hospitality, and retail.
Ms. Liu rejoined Colliers International’s Boston office in July 2023 and is a key member of the firm’s U.S. Capital Markets Analytics Group. In this role, she provides sophisticated in-house financial analysis and underwriting support for investment sales and debt and equity transactions nationwide. She specializes in evaluating complex capital structures, producing detailed financial models, and advising on debt advisory and equity placement strategies for institutional and private clients. Over the course of her career, she has participated in transactions totaling more than $2 billion.
Prior to rejoining Colliers, Ms. Liu served as a Loan Portfolio Asset Manager at Winthrop Capital Advisors in Boston, where she played an integral role in managing a $7+ Billion portfolio of commercial real estate debt investments, comprised of complex assets within a series of CRE debt-oriented investment vehicles, including first mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, preferred equity, real estate debt and equity securities, and other varied sophisticated credit investments for all asset classes located in major markets across the U.S.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Liu spent more than six and a half years with Colliers International’s Long Island office. Her career focused on performing financial analysis for commercial real estate leasing and investment sales. She also assisted with managing a 4 million square foot healthcare portfolio and produced over 50 quarterly Long Island Office & Industrial market research reports.
Ms. Liu also contributed to business development efforts, with one of her most notable achievements being the exclusive landlord agency assignment for the ±750,000-square-foot Samanea New York (formerly The Source Mall), where her team increased occupancy from approximately 25% to over 75%.
