David Qian

David Qian is one of the co-founders and Managing Partners of SITUS. Prior to this Mr. Qian held the position of Managing Partner at 789 Group, a boutique investment firm that focused on hospitality and real estate investments. In the years leading to that position, Mr. Qian was an Executive Underwriter at a special division of The Hartford for 5 years and underwrote over 100 deals in the $5MM to $50MM range concentrating on mergers and acquisitions from venture capital startups to middle market private equity transactional deals.  Mr. Qian has over 15 years of investment experience and over the past 7 years concentrated specifically on hard assets and real estate investments.

Mr. Qian also oversees real estate investments for his family portfolio and has managed and ran several successful small businesses with over 30 employees over the past years.  He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and currently sits on the board of the Asian Real Estate Association in NYC.  Mr. Qian holds a double major degree in Economics and Chinese from Hamilton College as well as a business program at Columbia University in corporate finance.

SITUS is based out of midtown Manhattan and actively monitors the New York City metro real estate market in order to recognize opportunities as they arise.
